THE GHOST OF JESSICA DREW: The Avenger's arrive at St. Anthony's Hospital in San Francisco, CA. Tigra informs them what had transpired. The Avengers seem to vaguely remember Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman. Tigra mentions how she and Spider-Woman along with other super-types (Gypsy Moth, Werewolf, Shroud, Daddy Longlegs and Mickey Silk) managed to escape their imprisonment by Locksmith and Ticktock and "turn the tables on them." The "super-types" then gathered to celebrate at Jessica and Lindsay's apartment. That evening David Ishida, Jessica's boyfriend, decided to stop seeing her when he discovered she was Spider-Woman. Suddenly in the course of the evening, everyone seemed to have forgotten why they were there. As the gypsy Moth and Daddy Longlegs left, the Shroud felt drawn to go to the apartment's courtyard only to find the Spider-Woman unmasked and lifeless. The others rushed to call an ambulance while Tigra and the Shroud administered CPR until the paramedics arrived. As Jessica laid in the hospital in a coma, the ghost of the Spider-Woman appeared before Mickey Silk, the Shroud and Tigra.

The Scarlet Witch calls Doctor Strange for assistance because of the supernatural nature while the Wasp calls her ex, Dr. Henry Pym (the Yellow Jacket) for additional assistance. After Dr. Pym examines Jessica, he indicates there is no reason why she hasn't recovered and gained consciousness yet. But Dr. Strange also indicates that even though there are no physical damages, her mind has fled her body altogether beyond the boundaries of reality in the Astral Plane.

In the Astral Plane, we find the Spider-Woman and Magnus the Sorcerer. Magnus tells SW what had happened, how Magnus freed SW's astral boy from her physica body to travel back in time the defeat Morgan Le Fay. But at the end, Morgan Le Fay managed to cast a spell that prevented SW's astral body from reentering her physical body. Since her physical body would eventually die, SW ask Magnus to cast a spell that the world may forget that there ever was a Spider-Woman and Jessica Drew.

Magnus confesses that there might have been a chance to break Morgan Le Fay's spell but Magnus didn't try because he wanted SW come away with him in the Astral Plane. SW uderstands why Magnus did it but tells him that she wants to return to her body and live again. Magnus indicates risk since Morgan Le Fay's spell used SW's bio-electric venom blast to prevent her from returning but he might be able to beat the barrier with a spell of his own. As Magnus cast his spell in order for SW to return to her body, Morgan Le Fay, strikes Magnus with her magic and cause SW in be trapped between both dimensions.

Meanwhile in the Astral Plane, Morgan Le Fay plans in destroying SW and claim her powerful body for herself.
